Dillon, Denver & the Dam

Description: The search for water for the growing city of Denver led the Denver Water Board to Summit County. Geography helped determine the site of the reservoir and dam, while geology presented numerous problems that had to be overcome. The reader will learn the history of the often-moved town of Dillon and its rebirth on the shores of Lake Dillon. Vintage black and white photos and maps complement this study of the history of Dillon reservoir and dam.
